Alsi has long been a quiet staple of Rajasthani and Punjabi kitchens, treasured for its earthy, nutty character and its remarkable nutritional value. Ramjeevan has carried it since 1932, when families kept it aside for roasting into chutney powders and adding to flatbreads.
Among the richest plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fibre, flax seeds are most beneficial when lightly roasted and ground, releasing their oils and improving absorption. Sprinkle the ground meal over dal, rotis, or curd, or stir into smoothies for a daily dose of nourishment.

How to Use
Lightly roast in a dry pan for one to two minutes, then grind. Add to chutneys, parathas, smoothies, or sprinkle over curd and dal.
Storage
Store whole seeds in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Once ground, refrigerate and use within two weeks.
